Thank you!

Hey guys! After a 24 hr flight across the world, a day of shopping for food/housing items, and a 2 hr flight on a four-person Cessna, I have finally arrived at Mukinge Hospital. It’s been a long journey but I’m glad to be here. Thank you for partnering with me in this journey!

Thank you for your prayers:
Of the three times I’ve been to Africa, this is the only time I haven’t experienced problems with flights and a delayed arrival. As you know I raised financial support and by God’s grace I raised a few hundred dollars above what was needed to fund the trip.

Thank you for your donations:
Your giving has provided me with transportation, food, and other basic necessities (i.e. Coca-Cola 🙂 ).

Thank you for your support:
Knowing that there are about 100 praying for me and interested in partnering with me is AMAZING.

Over the course of my trip, I’m trying to learn whatever I can, whether medical, spiritual, cultural, etc. Medically, I want to learn how to care for patients in Africa and develop thinking as a physician. Spiritually, I want to learn more about God, His grace, and how I can serve Him better. Culturally, it’s easy to have a sense of “American superiority” because things seem so far behind here. I want to get rid of that sense and love/see people as God does. My request is that you’d pray for me to learn these things. As I learn and have experiences I will share via this blog so you can see how this trip (and your support) is affecting my life and those I encounter. I hope you can understand how grateful I am for everything those who support me have done.

Thank you!
